I’m a 21 year old photographer in the D(M)V area. At its most basic, photography is capturing a subject and producing a 1-dimensional image. Almost anyone can do point and shoot photography. My interest in photography goes beyond just producing one-dimensional images. Just as performing artists interpret the behavior of the characters they play, and painters envision the depth of what they ultimately produce on canvas, I try to capture the intricacy involved in any activity that is being photographed. I see and focus on the environment in all its complexity, including the subject and their emotions. The task, then, is to create finished photographs that capture not only the subjects, but also the beauty and complexity that surrounds the subject. This also includes activities and events in real time that make photographs come alive in the finished product.
