Jim was a USAF photographer during Vietnam. He graduated from the Academy of Arts College and has studied in symposiums under Richard Avedon, Ansel Adams, Helmut Newton, Primo Angeli and Jerry Berman. He has photographed in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
